US Racing car exhaust pipe polishing

Client’s Requirement
Prepare tubing for nickle/chrome plating, our largest tube is 2.250 inches. This is to polish racing parts – exhaust header pipes.

As the car exhaust pipes are normally bent, we can polish before bending or after bending with different machines.

PLAN A. Use a straight pipe polishing machine
If we use straight pipe polishing machine, we can choose 3-station machine with 3 seperate polishing wheels.
In that way we can polish #240, #600 and #1000 grit in one time, the effeciency will be high. If we use straight pipe polishing machine, the embossed nut is not allowed, it should be smooth straight surface pipe only.

PLAN B. Use a planetary bent pipe polishing machine
It takes about 30seconds to polish one meter bent pipe, and if you need to polish by 3 different grit, you will have to buy 3 seperate machine or change the sand belt every time on one single machine.
